Postdoctoral Associate

Matteo Nello John Gregori, or Nello, is a post-doctoral researcher within the African Microbiome group. He is a passionate environmental microbiologist with experience in both terrestrial and marine environments. Nello has developed skills in utilising bioinformatics to generate hypotheses and then validate through wet lab experiments.  Using a combination of culture, molecular and analytical techniques, his main research aim is to investigate the role marine microorganisms have in biogeochemical cycles and how anthropogenic and natural factors impact these vital ecosystem services.
