Honours Student 

My project is trying to use a new approach for discovering antimicrobials. The idea is to use machine learning and analyse metagenomic data from fresh/waste water and hope to mine the genome for possibly novel antimicrobials that may not necessarily be produced under the existing conditions. Previous methods have taken years to produce new antimicrobials and this approach is intended to dramatically reduce that time and overall hopefully improve the approach to antimicrobial discovery.
