Prudence Ndzinisa
PhD Candidate
Prudence is an environmental microbiology researcher in the Department of Microbiology at Stellenbosch University. She investigates how environmental stressors activate conserved bacterial stress-response pathways that influence the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance, even in the absence direct antibiotic exposure.
Identifying these alternative routes to resistance will inform evidence-based strategies for mitigating AMR in environmental and public health contexts.
